Hey Fam,
Do y’all remember the Weebles? Often in pursuit of goals you hit bumps in the road or feel like there’s no stability. There are plenty of times I’ve felt like the Weebles below, wobbling all over the place. The journey to standing firm after a season of hardship can be quite frankly depressing. How does one reset blow after blow? For me, I have to spend my quiet time stirring it up.
That’s right, I stir that thang! My advice to you is to stir up the gift of God within you! (2 Tim. 1: 6) One can be afraid to bounce back after enduring a season of setback. Remember, God has not given you the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Tim. 1:7) What a powerful verse. You have the spirit of power, love and a sound mind!
Exercise your power and take authority over your fear and confusion or whatever feeling is causing you to be paralyzed from moving forward. Spend time in prayer and ask the Holy Spirit to guide your sound mind towards whatever you need to overcome this obstacle. Last, love yourself. When you are speaking doubt or allowing doubt to cloud your thoughts, you’re not being kind to yourself.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down. Pick yourself up and walk in your power.
Exceedingly and Abundantly,
Erin Cross
